Our Organization

Who We Are

Our association is a professional and scientific association. Its founding members and affiliates voluntarily and non-profitably pool their knowledge and resources to promote and encourage activities in the field of nuclear medicine.

The association was created in 2017 under the name "National Association of Liberal Nuclear Medicine" with the aim of promoting nuclear medicine in Algeria. During the general assembly in April 2024, a new name was unanimously adopted: "Algerian Association of Nuclear Medicine" in order to bring together both public and private sector stakeholders within the same association.

The primary purpose of our association is to promote nuclear medicine in Algeria at both a professional and scientific level, involving all stakeholders. Four goals have been fixed by the current office:

  • Creation of synergies between the public and private sectors.
  • Improve the operational processes of nuclear medicine in Algeria with all stakeholders.
  • Make nuclear medicine attractive to future young doctors.
  • Highlight the excellence of Algerian nuclear medicine by strengthening our international presence through active participation in international congresses and conferences.

The association's headquarters is located at the Scintigraphic Imaging Center of Dr. Drahmoune Voute, number 94 Quai Sud Alger Port ALGER. The association has legal personality and civil capacity and carries out its activities throughout the national territory.

Membership in the association is granted to:

  • Physicians specializing in nuclear medicine, as well as other specialist physicians involved

  • Managers involved in nuclear medicine
